Expedition to Borgoumont
Dismantling of GN Schréder lampposts

We are on the former site of the Borgoumont sanatorium in Stoumont. Regular visitors to the MuSé point out the presence of GN Schréder lampposts fitted with fluorescent tubes. The site was completely disused and abandoned.
The investigation began... who could we contact to try and save this heritage? A visit to the site was essential. I found a poster with information about a demolition company. Gradually, the owner of the site was identified, and he gave his authorisation to dismantle the lampposts.
Once this authorisation had been obtained, the shipment had to be organised: the work had to be neat and tidy, but the lampposts were still on their masts. Thanks to Xavier, a forklift was mobilised.
Back at the MuSé, the lamp post was cleaned and refurbished...
